Connecting Horam Park Golf Club with a new website, members area and Caddyio
EDP created a connected digital platform for Horam Park Golf Club, combining a redesigned public website, an editable admin portal, a private members area and Caddyio features for live scoring, course tracking and on-course activity.

Client snapshot
Horam Park Golf Club is a public nine-hole golf club in East Sussex, with a course, driving range, clubhouse, bar, function space, Pro Shop and PGA coaching.
The club had invested in its facilities and had far more to offer than its old website communicated. Important parts of the club were difficult to find, the new Rapsodo Range was not being given enough prominence, and the website did little to support members once they had joined.
Horam Park needed more than a visual refresh. It needed a digital platform that could support prospective visitors, existing members, the club team and what happens out on the course.
What they needed
The project needed to bring several previously separate parts of the club together.
The priorities were clear:
- Present Horam Park as a friendly public golf club for members, visitors and non-golfers
- Showcase the course, driving range, clubhouse, events, coaching and memberships more clearly
- Give the new Rapsodo Range stronger visibility as a key selling point
- Create better routes for visitor, membership, coaching and event enquiries
- Give the Horam Park team control over important website information
- Provide members with a useful private digital area
- Introduce live scoring and course activity through Caddyio
- Build stronger SEO and AI Search Visibility foundations
- Replace generic imagery with original photography, video and drone footage
The goal was not simply to launch another golf club website. It was to create one connected platform around how Horam Park actually operates.
What we did
We designed and built a connected digital platform combining Horam Park’s public website, admin portal, private members area and Caddyio functionality.
Visitors can explore the course, facilities, memberships, events and coaching before they arrive. Members have their own private area and access to digital features connected to their golf. Behind the scenes, the Horam Park team can update important information themselves without relying on a developer for every small change.
Caddyio then extends that experience beyond the website and onto the course.
A website built around the whole club
The public website was reorganised around the different reasons someone might visit Horam Park.
Clear routes now lead people towards:
- Playing the course
- Using the driving range
- Joining as a member
- Booking PGA coaching
- Visiting the clubhouse
- Holding an event
- Arranging a funeral reception or celebration of life
- Finding practical visitor information
Instead of presenting the club through a flat brochure-style website, the new structure helps different audiences find the information that matters to them.
The course section was also given more depth, with a clearer overview, original drone footage and individual hole content developed with input from the club professional. This gives potential visitors a much better feel for the course before they arrive.
Bringing Caddyio into the club
Caddyio is EDP’s dedicated digital platform for golf clubs. At Horam Park, it connects the wider website and members area to the experience members have while playing.
Members can use their phones for scoring and follow live course activity through a system connected to Horam Park’s digital platform. Live tracking and play-by-play updates make a round more visible and engaging, rather than leaving the club’s digital experience behind at the first tee.
Because Caddyio works through a web browser, members do not need to install another app. The platform can be accessed from a suitable phone and brought into the club’s own digital environment.
This gives Horam Park more than a standalone scoring tool. The club has a connected platform built around its course, members and wider online presence.
Caddyio also gives Horam Park the foundation to connect more of its golf activity over time, including competitions, leaderboards, societies, coaching and the clubhouse experience.
A private members area with a purpose
The private members area was created to do more than place existing information behind a login.
It gives Horam Park a dedicated space for member information, notices, events and connected golf features. Together with Caddyio, it creates a more useful relationship between the club and its members throughout the year.
Members can access club information and digital golf features in one place, while Horam Park gains a direct channel that belongs to the club rather than relying entirely on emails, group chats or separate third-party platforms.
Giving the Horam Park team control
The website includes an editable admin portal designed around the information the club regularly needs to manage.
The team can log in and update key areas without technical knowledge or developer support. This makes it easier to keep information accurate, respond to changes and maintain the website as an active part of the club rather than a static brochure.
The backend was deliberately kept clear and practical so that non-technical members of the team can use it confidently.
Built with search in mind
SEO and AI Search Visibility were considered throughout the structure and content of the website rather than added after the build.
The site was organised around the actual facilities, services and experiences people may be looking for, including:
- Public golf in East Sussex
- Nine-hole golf
- Driving range facilities
- PGA coaching
- Golf memberships
- Clubhouse food and drink
- Venue hire and private events
- Funeral receptions and celebrations of life
The content was made clearer and more specific so that search engines and AI answer systems can more easily understand what Horam Park offers, who it is for and where it is located.
This gives the club a stronger foundation for traditional search visibility as well as the growing number of searches taking place through AI-powered platforms.
Bringing the Rapsodo Range to the front
Horam Park had made an important investment in its Rapsodo Range system, but the previous website did not explain the experience particularly well.
The new website gives the range a much stronger position and communicates what makes it different from a traditional practice facility.
Visitors can now understand that they can hit real golf balls outdoors while using shot tracking, video feedback, detailed performance data, games and access to more than 30,000 virtual courses.
This gives golfers a clearer reason to visit the range and helps Horam Park make more of one of its strongest facilities.
Original photography, video and drone content
The new website needed to look and feel unmistakably like Horam Park.
We completed several content sessions at the club, capturing original photography, professional video and drone footage across the course, driving range, clubhouse and other facilities.
Working around lessons, competitions, visitors and the everyday running of the club, we built a library of media that reflects the real setting and experience.
This removed the need for generic golf imagery and gave Horam Park original content that can be used across the website, social media and wider marketing.
The results so far
Horam Park now has one digital platform covering three areas that golf clubs often treat separately: public marketing, member communication and the on-course experience.
The public website gives prospective visitors and members a much clearer understanding of the club. The private members area provides a useful space for existing members. Caddyio connects that digital experience to live scoring, course tracking and what happens during a round.
Behind the scenes, the Horam Park team has more control over its information and a platform that can continue to develop around how the club is actually used.
Early feedback from the club has been very positive. The team has gained confidence from being able to update the website themselves, and the backend has been designed to be straightforward enough for non-technical staff to use.
The project has delivered:
- A modern public website built around the whole club
- A connected private members area
- Live Caddyio scoring, course tracking and play-by-play activity
- An editable admin portal for the Horam Park team
- Clearer routes for membership, visitor, coaching and event enquiries
- Stronger visibility for the Rapsodo Range
- SEO and AI Search Visibility foundations
- Original photography, professional video and drone content
- A digital platform that can support further club features without starting again
Ongoing partnership
The platform was designed to be actively used and developed rather than launched and left unchanged.
EDP continues to support Horam Park as the team updates its public website, develops the members area and makes greater use of Caddyio across the club.
This allows the platform to evolve around real member behaviour, staff feedback, competitions, society days and the practical needs of the club.
